Welcome to Kitchen Shift
Dear Friends:
For years, I have had the privilege of working in the health and nutrition industry. I have taught cooking classes, chopped more salads than I can count at a juicery in town and currently offer health coaching services to the community. But today marks the launch of something special.
Today I am thrilled to announce the official “launch” of this website g*free*ology.
SO WHAT IN THE WORLD IS G*FREE*OLOGY?
G*free stands for gluten- free. Yes- you are entering the no wheat zone! At www.gfreeology.com my GOAL is to provide YOU and your loved ones information and tools to put this information into practice should a gluten free lifestyle be something you need or believe you should explore.
With the launch of this site, will also come a regular blog post from me. This is a new arena for me and its a little intimidating to be honest. So the posts will be short, sweet and to the point. Perfect for many of you who are busy and need to get to the meat of the information quickly anyhow, right?!
You may relate when I share that gluten free is not a choice but a way of life in our household. My husband was diagnosed in 2008 with Celiac Disease and his diagnosis came right before Thanksgiving when I was 8 months pregnant with our second child. Talk about overwhelming for everyone!
Just as you don’t learn to read or speak a new language overnight, my journey to a healthy gluten free life did not happen quickly. It has come with struggles and yet triumphs. But with years of practice under my belt, I have a lot of pearls to share with you. And trust me when I tell you that once you get some momentum- the results are absolutely worth the time you have invested to make these changes.
I am incredibly passionate about this work and believe strongly in the link between our food and our health. I believe with my years of experience and the passion to match, I can provide you many great tips, recipes and resources… that it would almost be mean not to share!
So please take a peek. I look forward to hearing your feedback and if I can be of service.
Oh- and while you are here... click over to the Food Corner and check out my soup recipe in the "What's Cooking" section. This has been a staple in my home this incredibly cold winter.
In Good Health,
Beth
